We would like to introduce and welcome you to Woodlands Day Nursery.
Woodlands Day Nursery has been established since June 1992. The Nursery is owned and managed by Alison Thomson, a qualified Nursery Nurse and Rosie McLucas. Both are working mothers who understand the need for quality childcare and their children attend the Nursery. Both Alison and Rosie form part of the important team of qualified experienced staff.
The objective of the Nursery is to provide a child-care service of the highest quality and we feel that it is important, through this website that you are made aware of the facilities we can offer.
Pre-school years are important formative years and it is our aim to provide a number of activities and skills which will help your child to develop to the best of his or her ability.
The Nursery is situated on a country estate, in a beautiful wooded area. This provides plenty opportunities for nature walks and studying wildlife. Each age group have their own enclosed play areas with a variety of surfaces ands areas to play. There are grass areas for running and ball games and a hard surface for playing on the bikes, etc. It is important to note that the children will be in the care of qualified staff at all times.
As an important part of the day to day running of the Nursery and the care of the children who attend we are fully up to date with all legislation and registered with the Scottish Care Commission. Woodlands has a number of important Policies and procedures to ensure smooth running of the Nursery and a standard of quality childcare. These policies are too numerous to include, however we would like to emphasise the importance of getting to know our policies and procedures and encourage you to become familiar with them. If you require copies of our policies please do not hesitate to speak to one of the Room Leaders or any of the managers.
